 The
Grainery
A Grainery was first built in Frankfort in 1856. Over the years,
structures on the site burned numerous times, including serious fires in
the 1800's, 1947 and 1984. The current concrete elevator on the site
stands 132 feet and can be seen from miles around, including its prominent
American flag. It stands as a picturesque reminder of Frankfort's
agricultural heritage.
